Amorphophallus Interruptus

A medium to small and easy growing species which produces a graceful, umbrella-shaped leaf growing to about 60cm high. The petiole is lime green, sometimes featuring darker green mottling. The leaf remains above ground through spring and into Autumn when it dies back to the tuber.

The leaf will re-emerge the following Spring. When the tuber is large enough, it will produce the unique blooms pictured. Originating in Vietnam, this is a hardy and easy to grow species.

Some species of Amorphophallus have offsets attached to it. In nature these detach to grow new plants. The offsets may detach or break in the mail, this is normal. Plant them in spring to grow new plants!
