Amorphophallus Asterostigmatus - Unique Plants

Amorphophallus Asterostigmatus is a beautiful easy to grow amorphophallus species that produces a graceful, umbrella-shaped leaf growing to about 70cm high.

This species readily multiplies and forms dense clumps of beautiful foliage. The stems of the leaf are richly decorated in purple spotting. It reminds the markings of a Dalmatian.

The leaf remains above ground through spring and into Autumn when it dies back to the tuber. The leaf will re-emerge in the Spring.

When the tuber is large enough, it will produce the amazing bloom pictured.

Some species of Amorphophallus have offsets attached to it. In nature these detach to grow new plants. The offsets may detach or break in the mail, this is normal. Plant them in spring to grow new plants!
